The Environment Association is an umbrella body representing any interest or community which shares the National Park Authority aims. It exists to support those groups to take practical action.

Northumberland National Park Environment Association has a widely drawn board of management and membership which is independent of the National Park Authority.

The National Park Authority provides the secretariat. Any individual or organisation from the public, private or voluntary sector, or a collective of these within or outside the National Park can gain funding or expertise.

The work undertaken by the Environmental Association includes:

  • Financially managing the Hareshaw Linn, White Water Green Shade project
  • Managing funds derived from visitor payback schemes throughout the National Park.
