Our Members
Following the 2011 recruitment drive, Annie Sanders, Anne Lowrie, Lindsay Wilson, Steve Beverley and Alan Mitcham were appointed to the JLAF for three years and George Astbury, Sue Rogers and Angus Collingwood-Cameron were re-appointed for three years from 1 May 2011 - 30 April 2014.
One of the JLAF’s longest serving and farthest travelled members, Erica Bamford, retired after over eight years on the JLAF; Sue Vaughan and Nicola Thomson also retired after three years.
At their meeting on April 14, 2011 the JLAF agreed to continue with having a Chair and two Vice Chairs and re-appointed James Brown as Chair, and George Astbury and Gill Featonby Baines as Vice Chairs from 1 May 2011 – 30 April 2012; the JLAF also agreed to have two, rather than three, working groups going forward with Sue Rogers and Nick Rossiter as chairs.
The membership of the Joint Local Access Forum is currently made up of a group of 20 members who represent a wide variety of interests including landowning, tourism, education, recreation, conservation, ecology, health issues, sustainable transport, accessibility for all and sport. Membership from 1 May 2011 - 30 April 2012 is:
