The forum recruits new members on an annual basis. Applications are usually sought from all members of the public who are genuinely interested in and aware of, countryside and access issues, with particular reference to recreational use, other interests such as urban issues; mobility matters; health; education; tourism etc or land interests including managing, ownership and occupation.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from young people, people with disabilities and people from minority and ethnic backgrounds. There is no upper age limit but the minimum age is 18. A good understanding of the CROW Act (2000) would be an advantage as would access to e-mail and the internet. Familiarity with using a computer would also be useful.

If you are interested in JLAF membership outwith the recruitment period, please don't hesitate to contact us with your details and an application pack for the next available round of recruitment will be sent out to you as soon as they are available.

Everyone is welcome to attend meetings and particularly if you are interested in being a member, why not come laong to one of our meetings as an observer - the dates for this year can be found at Meetings and Agendas.
