Action Areas
Greenhead Farmers Market The ‘Action Areas’ are four locations in and around Northumberland National Park where local people can get involved in taking their communities forward. In order to help them to do this, a small grants and support scheme operates called the ‘Action Areas’ approach. It is aimed at enabling local people and organisations to conserve, enhance, enjoy, or understand the landscape, culture, traditions, wildlife, history, places and communities.
Solar Power at the Battlesteads ‘Action Areas’ funding is suitable for small projects that will make an immediate difference. Although there are no limits on funding, as a guide the average grant is for £3,000. Projects must meet the objectives of Northumberland National Park Authority. Please see the eligibility guidelines for more information on what we can and cannot support in terms of the project funding. The funding decisions will normally be made within 28 days by Northumberland National Park Authority.
